Non-IVP vs IVP?
Standard (Non-IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
*Typically required for certain employment, licensing, volunteer, and professional positions in Arizona. Eligibility depends on your employer's or licensing agency's requirements.
IVP (Identity Verified Prints) Fingerprint Clearance Card
*Required for certain positions involving education, schools, and other regulated professions where additional identity verification requirements apply.

Before visiting our office, please follow these steps:

Visit the official Arizona Department of Public Safety Public Services Portal https://psp.azdps.gov/

Create an account or sign in to your existing account.

Select Fingerprint Clearance Card and begin a new application.

Choose the appropriate card type (IVP or Non-IVP) based on your employer's or licensing agency's instructions.

Complete the required application information and follow the portal's payment and fingerprint submission instructions.

Bring your government-issued photo ID, application confirmation or reference number, and any fingerprinting instructions provided by AZDPS to your appointment

Accepted Payment Methods (Paper/Mail): Cashier's check, money order, or a pre-printed business check made payable to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Cash and personal checks are generally not accepted directly by mail
